How to Support the People Around You

Everyone wants to be a great friend while still making sure that you have the time and energy to take care of your own life. The success of your relationships will rely on the love and support that you show the people around you, especially if they are going through rough times. Remember that when you go above and beyond for the people in your life they will do the same for you. Your relationships are essential to your health and wellness and it is important that you nourish them. 🌺

If you look at the big picture, if you make a little effort for your friends and family it can go a long way. Use these ideas to help shape how you treat your tribe. You will see your relationships flourish.

1) Take the Time

Make sure that your friends and family have the support and resources to grow in the places that they are. Offer to listen to them, give helpful advice, or just check in with them to see how they are doing. By showing them that you believe in them and are invested in their future you are strengthening the relationship.

2) Enthusiasm Goes a Long Way

If you aren’t excited about your friends and the successes they are having in their lives it will be difficult to grow your relationships. Taking the time to make it a weekly or monthly routine to check in with them and let them know you are thinking about them. Make it a point to show them that you are paying attention to the details in their lives. Showing you care about their momentum and progress will make a real difference in their lives.

3) Recognize Your Friends

Showing people you care is essential to the health of your relationships. You can always recognize friends in fun and creative ways to make them feel noticed. Here are a few ideas:

  • Offer to plan a birthday or party for a friend that is celebrating

  • Make snacks or treats your friends and family likes and share with them

  • Leave Post-It notes with sweet messages for the people around you
